Women of Brown

About Our Work

Mission and Vision

The UPS Women of Brown Organization was established in 2005 by a group of women that all worked together at UPS. Over the years these coworkers developed a very special friendship that would later turn into an extended family where they supported each other through the good times and the bad. They realized that they actually had a lot in common and they wanted to get to know each other on a deeper level. The women began having girl’s nights and taking road trips together to enrich their bonds. A tradition that remains today.

Then these friends thought about how Blessed they were and wanted to do more. They decided they wanted to give back to their community by helping men, women, and children that were less fortunate then them. They wanted to have a impact on their community.

Our Background

The Women of Brown is a independent 501c3 organization first established in 2005 to provide funding for community development and outreach programs. The organization has helped many local organizations through volunteer efforts, fundraisers, and charitable contributions by responding to the various needs and challenges facing the Memphis, Tennessee community in the past twenty years. This organization has grown significantly in scope and size. Because of its humanitarianism efforts, the WOB has raised over $200,000.00 and volunteered over 1,500 hours.
